Board of Directors:

The Board of Directors is responsible for the development of the IOP strategic plan and for financial, tactical and strategic program oversight.

The Academic Advisory Committee is responsible for educational oversight of the program and the applicant review and selection process.

Learner Liaison and Orientation

Finn Nielson connects with approved learners prior to arrival in Canada to develop a communication plan; meets with learners immediately upon arrival to Canada; provides instruction regarding mandatory paperwork; facilitates University and Governmental Office visits and provides local orientation to the City of Hamilton after arrival

Micks
Member, IOP Academic Advisory Committee, Fellowship Program Administrator Post Graduate Medical Education, Faculty of Health Sciences, McMaster University

Rebecca supports and guides our learners through the process of applying for a work permit, CPSO licensure and other mandatory requirements. Rebecca provides the employment paperwork and facilitates the registration and onboarding of our learners.

Gordon
Member, IOP Academic Advisory Committee, Administrative Assistant, St. Joseph’s Health System International Outreach Program

Ms. Gordon is responsible for the day- to- day support of our learners when they arrive in Hamilton

Ms. Gordon has multiple years of experience with McMaster University and the Post Graduate Medical Education department at McMaster University. She also supports physicians in the Endocrinology Program

Executive Director, IOP. Mr. Nixon has been the Executive Director of the IOP since August 2022. He is responsible for program oversight, including the operations of the Academic Advisory Committee of the IOP.
